Benefits, when you’re ready
Backers Club works with nothing but your public work. Add benefits only if you want to.
Your backers pay for the work, not for a membership. Nothing on this page is required. Each benefit is granted to everyone currently backing you, and taken away when their support ends, with nothing for you to manage by hand.
What you can add
- Private feed. Every active backer gets a personal podcast or RSS feed URL. Use it for bonus episodes, early or ad-free releases. It stops working when their support stops.
- Discord role. Backers get a role on your server the moment they back you, and lose it if they stop.
- Thank-you content. A note only backers see: download links, codes, instructions, or just thanks.
- Posts. Write to your backers, and they get it by email.
- Goals. Show a goal per release, or a time-limited fundraising target for something specific, like new equipment.
When to add them
Not before you have backers. Start with your public work and an honest ask. When the first supporters are in and you feel like giving something back, switch a benefit on. Nobody is waiting for it until you do.
On a membership platform these are the product
Here they are a thank-you. That is the whole difference. Why not Patreon? says it in four points.
